Walk among the gods, from the fifth before our era to the twelfth
To begin by visiting the gods:
Let us take the Via Sacra
At the gate that dominates the city
The propylaea welcome us
Before Athena Niké, lighthouse of the victory
nd here we are finally before the wonder!
Difficult to see it in full without the cranes!
But let's try it all the same!
The caryatids await us, a little farther on,
With the lions: they keep the secrets of the gods, as in Venice.
Under the rock, the caves hide the mysteries
Further down in the Agora
The Theseion receives us
To unveal other mysteries;
Those of the church of the Apostles, of the tenth century
Plunge us into Byzantine art
Never very far, in Greece,
From Ancient mysteries.
In the city, other churches hide between the houses
With, within the walls, ancient remains.
Agii Theodori 1
This one, of the XIth century
Agii Theodori 2
Is on the Place of Tears.
At night, the lights of the Acropolis
Remind us of Olympus
Where, among the ruins
Throne the temple of Zeus.
